An academic, novelist, essayist, and poet, Yann Quero studied Fines arts, Decorative arts, linguistic and social sciences in France. He published several essays on arts and literature, and four fictionalized biographies of painters: Hugo van des Goes, the Master of Moulins, Giorgione, and Levina Teerlinck. Two of the biographies were awarded the Prize of the Bourbonnais in 2023 and the Toulouse Book Academy Prize in 2024.
