About Matt Nagashima
Matt Nagashima is a graduate student at University College Dublin in the Global History MA program. He specializes in histories of empire, colonization and resistance, and is currently researching the Caribbean world of Tainos and Africans at the beginning of the European invasions. Nagashima attended Colorado State University for undergraduate studies and wrote his capstone on social conditions in Florence during the Renaissance. He grew up in the mountains of Colorado and spends summers going up them, and winters skiing back down.
